How to measure your boat for a bimini
Measuring for a bimini top
Step 1: Determine mounting points on your boat. The mounting point is important because it will be the center of the top. For example, all SafeGuard bimini tops are 6 foot in length, so the bimini will cover 3 feet forward and 3 feet aft of the mounting point.
Step 2: Measure the distance between the mounting points on your boat. This will give you the width of your bimini. Simply select your measured width from the options below:
PLEASE NOTE: SafeGuard biminis are manufactured so that the support poles bow slightly outwards by a couple of inches. If you measure the distance between the support poles, it will appear that your bimini is too wide for your boat. THIS IS NORMAL because, upon installing, you will apply slight pressure and bow the support poles into their correct position. This process gives your bimini extra stability. The dimensions on the box you receive are the correct finish dimensions of your bimini.
